This HD cables are great, they suport the 480p that the wii system has, i connected them to a 1080i HDTV and the work GREAT, it really improves the quality of the gameplay experience on the wii, if you have the console, this is a MUST!

For the Nintendo Wii, let's face it. 480i is not bad, but when the TV's get larger in size, you can start to detect the fuzziness of the picture. Getting the component cable bumps it up to 480p, effectively doubling the resolution in one dimension (though I don't remember which one). While not necessary for Wii Sports, though it does make a difference there, it is pretty sweet upgrade for games such as Zelda (which is about all I can speak for as of now). Obviously, while I recommend this for larger TV's to remove the grain, on smaller TV's this just makes the picture quality seem crisp and clear.

First, this component cable is one of these rare gems: affordable, yet high quality. Why high quality? Well, the tips are gold-plated yet do not cost a fortune (i.e. $50++ ... you can do your own research) Now I am not trying to say that gold tips correlates to a better clarity for your Wii games. However, for this characteristic alone, it's quite a steal when compared to its competitors.
Yet, you'd be happy to know that the resulting image is quite crisp & clear. This set of component cables made by Blaze is definitely a big improvement over the composite cables that come with the Wii system. Pictures are much brighter, sharper, & more colorful. The resulting image is so sharp, you may sometimes find it too sharp!
I don't have the Nintendo OEM components cable. Those OEM ones are more expensive, yet I can't imagine it doing any better than these Blaze cables. You simply can't go wrong with this one. If you're looking for component cables for the Wii, this one by Blaze is it.
On a separate note, the seller of these cables on Amazon is super classy. He sent me a wrong item, immediately sent the right one, then told me to keep what he mistakenly sent. Thumbs up.
