    Amazon.co.uk Review
This TV tuner accessory for the Game Boy Advance came as a great surprise: it's a great idea that actually works. It's very simple to use, clipping securely on to the rear of the GBA using the cartridge port (the tuner has a cartridge slot, in which a game must be inserted for it to work); extend the aerial and switch on your console. Once you're fired up there's a wealth of options available to you via a combination of the GBA's buttons: auto-tune, contrast, brightness, PAL type etc. Auto-tuning takes around two minutes, and the picture quality is very impressive, only restricted by the limitations of the GBA screen. The sound quality is also clear. Quality can be affected, however, if you try to use it where reception is poor--among big buildings, in moving vehicles etc. The tuner can also be connected to DVD players and other consoles, which is useful if the other TV in your house is being watched. Battery life (4x AA batteries) is around 110 minutes; the unit comes with an AC adaptor and Blaze has also indicated that they intend to release a car adaptor. All in all, this is a gimmick that turns out to be quite functional and surprisingly effective. --Laurent S Hall

out of 5 stars Good, but essentially flawed., 16 January, 2003

Making the gameboy advance a TV screen seemed to me originally a very silly idea.
But when the package eventually came through my door, and I plugged it in, it was great.
It has ok reception, and it is useful especially when you go out camping.
As a screen for the GC, well....
It works, and it's reasonably good quality, and I suppose it's good for portability.
Overall: good, but the essential flaws are the ones which stem from the gameboy advance's failings itself (e.g. No backlight - it's really worth buying a wormlight or something)

out of 5 stars Blaze tv tuner for GBA, 28 December, 2002

Easy to set up. Aerial is long & takes up a lot of room. Can be difficult to get good picture. Sound quality good. Haven't used it as monitor for other console as suggested as too small viewable area.
A good buy if you aren't too fussy about picture quality or fiddling with aerial to get a picture. Works well outside

I was scanning through a catalogue one day when I came across the game consoles page. I looked up and down the page for the latest accessories for my Game boy advance. Then I saw it. A TV tuner for the GBA!! I thought; this must be excellent!! I consulted my dad. "You'll never get a signal, you'll never get a picture and you'll never get the damn color control working like on your uncles!", he exclaimed. That didn't put me off. I ordered it from Amazon.com and got within a month. I couldn't wait to try it out! Sure you had to tilt the Game Boy a bit to get the right color, but this is true in GBA games as well.
I also got a great signal using the fully extendable aerial and got an average of about 80 channels at a time! The brightness and contrast and volume dials were simple to work an reach and now i don't go anywhere without this ingenious piece of work!
Get it now or you'll never get a chance again!!! GO!! GO!! GOOO!!!
